Kinky Kitchen pt. 1

I'm big on mixing and making my own hair stuff. I figure that'll help my penny pintching behind save a little money in the long run. That being said, I've got a couple of mixes that I've been turning over in my mind to try:

Shea Butter x Coconut Oil x Olive Oil.
I actually already use this mix, but I need to make more. It's pretty magical, especially during the colder months.

Coconut Oil x Castor Oil / Coconut Oil x Aloe Vera
I figure with the right balance .. this could be light enough not to bother me when I don't want a lot of heavy product in my hair. I haven't decided which of these I'm going with yet.

Shea Butter x Aloe Vera
Aloe vera makes shea butter a little lighter. I like the hold that shea butter has on my twists. I think you see where I'm going with this ..

Tea Tree Oil x Castor Oil
For my scalp. I struggle with itchy/dry. I like to keep my scalp as moisturized as I can. I figure the mix of these two will help me with all that.

New Spritz: water x glycerin x aloe vera x olive
I just like a little moisture with my water. Plus I haven't found a leave-in that excites me yet.

Current Spritz: olive oil, infusium 23 leave-in treatment, jane carter revitalizing leave-in.
It's pretty decent. No real complaints honestly. If the new spritz fails, I'll always have this one :)

So yep. This is what I'm about lately. I'm trying to find a way to work avocadoes into my life. A couple trial and error runs. I may squeeze them into part 2 somewhere.
[trying out this twist thing. It's not so bad. Kind of weird for me though, I might untwist them if I go out tonight.]
